is the only political party in China, and we are not flatter-

ing ourselves when we say this. Have you not witnessed the intrigues and organisations of many political bodies, and experienced the miseries they have caused to you? Are they qualified to be called political parties? I am not making

an idle boast. Can there be any political party in China

which has such great and firm principles and policy as those

of our Kuomintang? Our Party has a history of hard work and

activity for tens of years, which can never be erased from

China. It has 1,000,000 well-trained and comparatively

active members and a great and historic leader to whom we can entrust our spirit. Even if there be suggestions to establish another small party to save China, apart from the fact that it may not be successful, how will China have the

patience to wait for an indefinitely long time?

In having China to be ruled by our Kuomintang, we do not mean that our Kuomintang is to monopolize the administra- tion of China: we are carefully to lead the masses to save China in accordance with the principles, policies, and regulations of our Kuomintang. We are not so narrow-minded as the Communists, and not only tolerate people who are not members of our Party but also co-operate with them with all sincerity. Further our Kuomintang is a political party open to the public, and welcomes anybody to join it at any time, so far he is free from any intention of profiteering, holds no membership in other party and will work hard for our Kuomintang. Those who were ignorant of the true attitude of our Kuomintang and hesitated to join it should now have penetrated its upright attitude, and should no longer have any reason to remain in hesitation. Is it not that we all want to find a path to help China out? Why do you not join
